This seems like a French rooster to me, hence the title. The fabric in the right and bottom borders (and also used on the back) is a cotton furnishing fabric fabric of a slightly heavier weight than usual quilt cottons. I’ve had it for years, and loved the light palette of colors and windows, tables and chairs in the design.
