Original with the farmhouse built in about 1792, The Hutch had a real presence in our kitchen by the wood stove. In addition to flour and sugar storage, there was an eclectic collection of pitchers gathered by the generations and a few photos. This one was of my grandmother Bertha Malone Manuel, drawn with ink and colored pencils.
